Fans around the world are excited to finally see what we are going to get with the new Tomb Raider movie and to see just what Alicia Vikander will have to offer in the role of Lara Croft in the new film. With the Tomb Raider reboot fast approaching, Alicia has been talking about the project and she has now revealed her biggest issue with the film.

Vikander was asked about the lack of women in Tomb Raider, when she said, "I got to work with Kristin Scott Thomas and she is an extraordinary actress, but me too, I agree. I was on the island and I was thinking: 'there are not enough women'. I was running around looking for them!"
As well as talking about the lack of women in the new Tomb Raider movie, talk also recently turned to the fact that Alicia Vikander is taking on a role that was once played by Angelina Jolie. Alicia said that she was not looking to compete with what Angelina did as Lara Croft, while also insisting that this movie is not looking to copy the previous films.

Vikander added, "I could never compete with what Angelina did. She made her into an icon because she is an icon. But this is our different interpretation, we're focused on the reboot of the game which came out a few years ago. It's the origin story - we're not trying to copy or reinvent what she did."
Tomb Raider is set to hit the big screen on March 14 in the UK and on March 16 in the US.
