There are many comic book movie fans who can still not accept Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne aka Batman, while it seems that the are loving the idea of Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry aka Aquaman, but it sounds like things went in a bit of a different direction when it came to auditioning for the roles. Jason has now been talking about the moment he found out he would be playing Aquaman, revealing that he was actually reading lines for Batman at the time.
Momoa was speaking to the Hindustan Times, when he told them, "When [director] Zack [Snyder] first approached me, it was a bit of a mystery because when I went in for the audition, he wanted me to read for Batman - and Ben [Affleck] had already been cast in the role by that point. So, I knew something fishy was going on and just read the lines with a lot of attitude, like I didn't care what was on the page."
He then went on to reveal, "And then Zack said to me 'Do you know who I want you to play?' I said 'Oh yeah, I'll be a villain or some bad dude who comes in and fights Batman - sounds like fun'. And he said 'I want you to play Aquaman'."
Jason Momoa will next be back on the big screen as Arthur Curry aka Aquaman, in the new movie Justice League, which will also see Ben Affleck back as Bruce Wayne aka Batman, Gal Gadot back as Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman, Ezra Miller as Barry Allen aka The Flash, and Ray Fisher as Victor Stone aka Cyborg. The Justice League movie will hit the big screen on November 17 in both the US and the UK.
