While most might know Moseley from his role as Peter Pevensie in the Chronicles of Narnia; many are now anticipating his new roles in the films Silent Mountain and RUN. In Silent Mountain, Moseley plays a young love struck Austrian solider as World War I is closing in upon Europe. RUN focuses on a street-smart 17-year old who is both thief and hero. These new roles will help drag Moseley out of the light of being viewed as a young boy and instead as a young man in the midst of a terrible War.
Moseley trained with sword fighting and combat for the Narnia films, but never did he or any of the crew for “Silent Mountain” think they would need to prepare for lightning. While filming a scene for his new film in Italy, Moseley was struck by lightning. Moseley, as well as nine other crew members, was injured during the incident. Thankfully there were no serious life-threatening injuries, and filming has since resumed. Moseley notes that the incident was a simple “freak of nature” but the traumatic experience has brought them closer together.
In Moseley’s other new film, RUN, which has already been released in Russia, is a fast-paced, action-packed, coming of age thriller. Moseley plays Daniel, a 17-year old who uses his skills in Parkour to steal. Daniel must use both his Parkour skills, as well as his smarts to save both himself, father, and two friends from the head of a crime organization when the truce with his father is broken.
With both of these films, Moseley is shedding his image as the brave boy from the Chronicles of Narina, and transforming into a young man, who has the task to save his loved ones. William Moseley is one to watch, he may not be an A-list celebrity yet, but he certainly is on his way to becoming one!
