Iron Man actor Don Cheadle has revealed how he was more of a Spider-Man fan when he was a kid. Don, who plays James Rhodes aka Iron Patriot in Iron Man 3, has admitted that he did not really get into Iron Man until he grew up a bit.
Cheadle was chatting to the guys over at Parade, when he explained, "As a kid I used to read Spider-Man; I came to Iron Man when I got older." However, Don learned to love Iron Man and was especially excited by the diversity of Rhodey in the comics.
He added, "Rhodey changed with the times. In the comics he had an afro, then he looked like [baseball great] Cool Papa Bell, then he had a sleek era. It gave me hope that we could go many places with him."
Don Cheadle recently admitted that he would love to have a role in Joss Whedon's The Avengers 2 but only if it made sense to the story line. Don also said that he feels that an Iron Man 4 movie would definitely happen, as long as the fans wanted to see it.
Iron Man 3 is out now in both the US and the UK.
