When it was officially reported that music superstar Fergie and her actor husband Josh Duhamel had decided to split up and bring their marriage to an end, there were a lot of people who were very shocked by the announcement, although it seems that it had been a long time coming. It was confirmed that Fergie and Josh had actually agreed to the split a lot earlier in the year, and the singer has now opened up about the split, admitting that it was very hard to fake that they were still together.
Fergie opened up, "Honestly, it was just getting a little weird for us with all the romantic questions. We're great friends, we love each other so much, and it just got to the point where it was getting a little weird, there's no perfect time so we just decided to do it ... It was just getting a little weird to laugh through the first date questions. We just wanted to get adjusted in private."
She added, "[And Axl's school has helped as] we have a co-op so Josh and I would walk there several times before the school season. So I get to learn from the teachers and see how he reacts in a group of friends that he knows. And I get to help out and serve them snacks and clean the dishes. We have fun, we get down and dirty and read the stories with our costumes. You get down in the sand and get dirty -- I love it. I love that part of it all."
The official announcement of their split came at a rather interesting time, as it was being widely claimed that Fergie and Josh Duhamel were expecting another child together. The couple felt that, rather than letting the rumours spread too much, they would make it clear that they were no longer together. Sad times!
