Hansika Motwani has surprised some entertainment observers with her 'late' response to the nude bath video that went viral after someone made the inaccurate claim that it was her in the video that was released to the Internet in the third week of February.
She made the claim that the morphing of the video was "worse than rape" and complained bitterly about the actions of those who alleged the video was her when it was not (International Business Times - March 10).
Some entertainment observers were amazed that while the Internet was going into hysterics about the video she remained active on her social media account but did not comment on the alleged nude video. She claimed to be 'outraged' at the morphed video but made no comments about it and this has gotten the attention of some entertainment observers who speculate that if she had went on her social media page or had a press conference/interview stating that it was not her in the video the situation would not have reached the heights that it did.
Her late response has brought out the 'cynical' side of some entertainment observers who wonder if she stayed silent for so long because of all the attention the bath video was generating with her name and not because she did not feel like commenting because she knew the video was not her.
Hansika Motwani missed an opportunity to turn this controversy in her favour by perhaps stating at the forefront that the video was not of her and revealing that she would not have to 'leak' a video to bring attention to her talent or beauty. Instead, she remained silent and let unfounded rumours swirl.
Sometimes being 'quiet' is not a good option and for a beautiful, talented leading lady such as Hansika Motwani it is rarely ever a course of action that can help her image as she and her advisors are likely learning from their discussions with some entertainment observers about this public relations faux pas.
