The Pirates of the Caribbean movie franchise has become one of the biggest around and has spawned four movies so far, with a fifth one coming our way in a couple of years. While there were some suggestions that Johnny Depp might not return for the next instalment of the franchise, he has since been confirmed as reprising his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Lies.

Kaya Scodelario has been linked to a role
Since then, there has been plenty more casting news for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Lies, with the latest rumour about the film suggesting that we could see British actress Kaya Scodelario landing a role in the movie. It has not been revealed what her role in the film will be but it sounds like she could be in a fight for the role, as fellow actresses Lucy Boynton, Gabriella Wilde, Jenna Thiam and Alexandra Dowling have also been linked to the project.
As for the actors that have been confirmed as joining Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Lies, we will see Brenton Thwaites taking on the role of a young British soldier, while Javier Bardem will play the main villain in the film. Meanwhile, Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg will direct the movie, with Jerry Bruckheimer on producing duties.

It is expected that Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Lies will go into production in February 2015, with the movie scheduled to hit the big screen on July 7, 2017 in both the US and the UK.
