Mad Men actress January Jones has made it perfectly clear in the past, that she will do her utmost to keep her private life private. January has a one year old son and has insisted that she will not make the fathers identity public knowledge. Now, January has spoken about why privacy is so important.
Jones told Net-a-Porter, "It's just not something the public needs to know. I don't divulge my sexual preferences. There are parts of your life - no matter what your job - that should remain private. When I was starting out, other actors advised me to keep certain things close to the vest."
She added, "When you become a public figure people want to know everything about you, and then [they] pick it apart - it becomes negative. When my son asks those questions, I want him to [hear it from me]. I don't want him to be able to Google it."
January Jones once let out a little too much information, when she admitted to eating her childs placenta, something which she now admits to regretting. Meanwhile, Mad Men season six airs on AMC on Sunday evenings.
