Marion Cotillard can surely add ‘musician’ to her résumé. The most recent proof of the actress’ musical talent can be noticed in the newest Dior campaign, where Cotillard shows off Dior’s autumn/winter 2014 collection in a conceptual video that she also wrote as a collaborator.
The video definitely has a surreal touch, Cotillard performing a sensual and intriguing dance which defies the gravity laws. The camera follows the actress while she walks in an elegant, resort-style backyard, throws away her Dior shoes and, in a fast change of pace, she jumps the length of a pool in two fluid steps.
The actress teamed up with Metronomy’s frontman to co-write and direct Dior’s short feature “Snapshot in L.A.”, in which she models a silver Dior handbag and a figure-hugging black bodysuit. This is the actress’ second collaboration with Dior , in 2011 she represented their image in the “L.A.dy Dior” campaign.
The French actress is known for her musical talent since she landed the role of Edith Piaf in “La Vie en Rose”, performance which brought her an Oscar award back in 2007. Marion Cotillard knows how to play the guitar, the piano and the tambourine and she also composed a few songs during the years. Also, the actress is known for her work ethic which has been described as incredible, especially after working with Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne for her most recent movie, "Two Days, One night" where the minimum amount of takes for a single scene was of 40 but the actress often insisted on at least 80 takes to be satisfied with a scene.
