Odette Annable broke out in 2008's 'Cloverfield' alongside Lizzy Caplan, Jessica Lucas, and Mike Vogel. The film established JJ Abrams as a director to watch in the sci-fi genre, and made stars out of its mostly unknown cast. Caplan has since gone on to become the queen of indies, Vogel went on to star in The Help as well as several other successful films and TV shows, and Lucas just booked a role in the upcoming Pompeii.
However, Annable has yet to find that role that establishes her presence in Hollywood. She's talented and attractive, and she has a significant screen presence.
Her resume also speaks to her talent, but her only major film roles after Cloverfield were 'You Again', 'The Unborn', and 'The Double'. None of these films managed to make a big impact at the box office, although her television work has fared a lot better.
She has major supporting roles in House M.D. and Breaking In from 2011-2012, and she's also starring in 'Banshee', which is starting to pick up steam. In addition to that, she will play guest star on 'New Girl'. She has the talent and the looks, but will she eventually find the role that helps her jump to the A-list?
