Dredd 3D actress Olivia Thirlby is set to appear on the big screen in her new movie Nobody Walks, which is out later this month. Olivia has been discussing Nobody Walks, revealing that the general themes of the movie seem to be sexual energy and sexual expression.
Thirlby told Collider, “Sexual energy and sexual expression are definitely big themes of this film and also of Martine, her character, and also of her art. If you look at that bug film, she even says that she was basically trying to make something not sexual. But, to me, that film is really sexual.”
Olivia then went on to talk about the fact that there is another theme in the movie, where saying no does not necessarily mean no and at the very least means a maybe. This is far from the real life message of “no means no” that is taught in everyday society.
She added, “You watch it and there’s something sensual about it. And, I think for people, sexual impulses are hard to control. It’s just part of being a human and this film presents people who are not controlling their sexual impulses properly.”
As well as Olivia Thirlby, Nobody Walks also stars John Krasinski, Jane Levy and Dylan McDermott. Nobody Walks was written and directed by Ry Russo-Young and is set to be released in the US on October 19, while there is still no official release date for the movie in the UK.
