While people continue to criticise The X Factor, former contestants, such as One Direction continue to sell records and sell out stadiums around the World. One Direction are the biggest boyband on the planet and one of the biggest boy bands ever. But should they ever get the chance to play Glastonbury.

Should One Direction play Glastonbury?
There are some massive venues throughout the World, where almost any artist would love to perform, but Glastonbury is the Holy Grail of music festivals. One person who feels that One Direction should not play Glastonbury, surprisingly, is Harry Styles best mate Nick Grimshaw.
Nick claims that One Direction simply do not fit the Glastonbury criteria. He explained, "I don't think One Direction's music sounds like the stuff that is historically supported by Glastonbury."

Glastonbury returns this year, after having a year off in 2012 due to the London Olympics and to give the field a chance to get back to its best. The Glastonbury gates open on June 26, with around 135,000 attending, compared to the 1,500 who attended at the first festival back in 1970.
