Just when you think the Marvel Cinematic Universe cannot get any bigger or better, they go and release a movie like Black Panther, which is not only a great film but is also smashing records at the box office. It is no surprise then, that pretty much every star in Hollywood would love to be involved with a Marvel movie project, well, almost everyone.
Actress Ruth Wilson has taken on some fantastic roles over the years and we could definitely see her starring in a comic book movie, although it seems the actress has already turned down a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Ruth says that the role she was offered was not what she was looking for and that she would prefer a more exciting role.
Wilson was chatting to Time Out London magazine, when she explained, "I did have an interview for a Marvel thing ages ago. They wouldn't say what the part was, so I made a questionnaire for the two directors. 'Is she a baddie?' They said she was a bit of both. 'Does she wear leather or latex?' They said no. I was like, 'EER-EEER!'"
She added, "I said, 'How many days filming is it?' They said 14. I said, '14? That's not very long ... EER-EEER!' So I said no. If you want to be in a Marvel movie, you've got to be a baddie or a superhero. Just being the girl on the side is boring. I'd be up for being a baddie."
Well it is funny that Ruth Wilson should mention playing a baddie in a comic book movie, since the actress has been tipped by many to play the role of Poison Ivy in the DC Extended Universe.
