When British actor Daniel Craig suggested that he was finished with playing James Bond, following the release of the 2015 movie Spectre, it did not take long for the fans to start throwing out names of the actor they felt should replace him as 007. Following weeks and months of speculation, Daniel did eventually sign on to reprise the role for James Bond 25, but that has not stopped people talking about the future of the character.
It is expected that James Bond 25 will definitely be the last James Bond movie to star Daniel Craig, which means that a new 007 star is going to need to be found in the not too distant future. While there has been a huge amount of suggestions that we will get the first black James Bond after Daniel, there has also been a lot of talk about the possibility of having a female James Bond, although there are so many different options.
There have been many stars who have made it perfectly clear that they would love to replace Daniel Craig as James Bond, with some of the biggest and best British actors in the business putting their names forward. Actor Taron Egerton who plays Eggsy in the Kingsman movies, has enjoyed a recent rise in Hollywood and Taron has now admitted that he would definitely be interested in playing 007.
Egerton shared, "If I was asked, yeah. Amazing. Amazing - of course! I don't know how much better [Eggsy] is ... I think he's quite a nice alternative. Bond is, you know, eternally super cool and clean cut and sharp. Eggsy is too, but Eggsy doesn't always get it right and I think that's the fun of Eggsy. I think that's the fun of Eggsy. He's not quite formed yet. Maybe one day he'll be James Bond but, for now, he isn't."
