When the his spectacular series 24 came to an end, fans of the show were calling for a 24 movie and, for a time, it seemed like it was going to happen. However, things have now taken a different path and we will instead gt a brand new season of 24, which is titled 24: Live Another Day.
Kiefer Sutherland is back as Jack
24: Live Another Day will be set over 12 episodes, rather than the usual 24 and the showrunner, Howard Gordon, has spoken about how they will tackle this new format
Howard told Assignment X, "The story will be 12 hours over a day, but we'll take advantage of the fact that we can go from seven o'clock to nine o'clock."
The new 24 season begins next April
While Kiefer Sutherland is currently the only member of the 24 cast confirmed to return for the new season, Gordon admitted tha he was hopeful that Mary Lynn Rajskub would agree to return to her role as Chloe O'Brien.
He added, "As a fan, I absolutely hope [she comes back]. The truth is, we're at the beginning of the process. Things aren't written in stone yet, so we're not sure."
It has now been confirmed that 24: Live Another Day will begin shooting in January 2014, before then beginning its new run in April.
