It seems that you can pretty much trademark whatever you like these days, including words and phrases, with celebrities trying to trademark almost anything at all. There are some very weird and wacky celebrity trademarks out there and here we take a look at some of the most odd ones out there.
Most of you will be we aware that socialite Paris Hilton loves to use some unusual phrases, for some strange reason, and she has trademarked one of her best one liners. Paris Hilton has managed to trademark her famous saying "That's hot", which only actually applies to alcohol and clothing.
Back in August of last year, Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte filed to trademark the term "Jeah", which he wanted to apply to almost everything, including sunglasses, swimming goggles, socks and jewelery. Ryan was once asked to explain what "Jeah" actually means but we are still none the wiser.
Way back in 1992, ring announcer Michael Buffer decided to trademark his infamous line "Lets get ready to rumble", which has turned out to be a great business decision. Since selling the trademark to video games and movies, it is reported that Michael Buffer has gone on to make over $400m from the line.
