While Trey Songz has had a go at acting, with the movie Texas Chainsaw 3D, which he impressed many people in, he is back doing what he does best, making music. Trey Songz released the album Chapter V last summer and he has just released the latest track from the record, titled Fumble.
Trey has now opened up about the single, explaining what influenced the track and the meaning behind the song. Trey admits that it is very much about not realising what you have until it's almost too late.
Songz explained, "It's basically a song about having the one person that'll do whatever for you, the one person that'll go to the end of the world and back, and you not realizing it until it's damn near too late. It's essentially about having someone's heart in your hands and dropping it."
With lyrics such as, "I'm sorry that I messed up girl / I really love you, really really love you / Now that I know I love you / I'll never love another girl / And it's not your fault," and the hook, "Should've let go of my past for you / You did everything I asked of you / Drive across the country if I asked you to / But I'm just bad for you / I fumbled your heart," it makes Fumble the perfect apology song.
