There are so many different comic book characters being adapted for the small screen at the moment, that we are likely to see a huge amount of different crossovers coming our way. We already know that Marvel are bringing Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist to Netflix, with each series expected to have at least one crossover episode, while we are also expecting to get The Defenders series too.
Meanwhile, we have already enjoyed getting plenty of DC characters brought to the big screen, with Arrow and The Flash already enjoying a couple of crossover episodes, while it has been claimed that we can expect to see Supergirl crossover with the two of them, once her own television series comes to the small screen, on CBS later in the year. However, there have also been plenty of discussions about other potential crossovers.
Arrow star Stephen Amell previously admitted that he would love to see a crossover with the hit series Gotham, with either his character popping up on their show or some of theirs appearing in Arrow. There have also been a few suggestions that we should see Ben McKenzie making a cameo appearance in Arrow or The Flash, in his role as Jim Gordon.
With that said, it does seem very unlikely that this will actually happen, for a few reasons. The first being the fact that the timelines do not really add up, since Gotham is a prequel of sorts to the Batman story, an Batman origins story if you like. Then there is the fact that Gotham airs on Fox, while Arrow and The Flash are on The CW, which would certainly make things difficult. As much as we would love to see it happen, we just do not think it will.
Would you like to see Ben McKenzie as Jim Gordon in Arrow or The Flash?
