The Marvel Cinematic Universe has a huge amount of fan favourite characters from the comic books, with some playing some very important roles in the movies, while others are more of a bit part supporting role. There have been some characters who have appeared in a few movies before leaving the franchise, while there are others whose future we are not so sure about.
Revenge actress Emily VanCamp plays the role of Sharon Carter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and she has appeared in both Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War but will we ever see the actress reprising the role again? Well, Emily has now confirmed that she will not be appearing in Avengers: Infinity War, so where does the future of Sharon Carter lay?
VanCamp was recently doing an interview with AOL, when she explained to them, "Listen, it's hard to fit Sharon into that. She's really in Cap's world. I mean, I can't say anything about anything, but I will say that. She sort of fits into the 'Captain America' movies; that's where her sort of storylines. But I can tell you it's going to be like an epic two-parter. From everything that I hear, it's going to be amazing."
With Emily VanCamp admitting that Sharon Carter is not going to appear in Avengers: Infinity War, and with many people suggesting that Avengers 4 will be Chris Evans last appearance as Captain America, does that mean that we have seen the last of Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter? Only time will tell.
