While there have been so many occasions for many years now, where we have seen a young child star coming through and looking set to go on to have a long and successful career, before then struggling to live up to the promise and potential as they get older, there are also still plenty of other child stars who have gone on to enjoy success in their acting career in their adult life, proving that the curse of the child star is a myth.
One such star, who has been working in the acting game since she was just a small girl, is the super talented AnnaSophia Robb, who is now in her 20s and is still going strong, giving us some fantastic performances in some fantastic movies. We will next get to see AnnaSophia appearing in the upcoming new movie Down a Dark Hall, which is still awaiting an official release date but should hopefully get one soon.
As some of you may already be aware, Down a Dark Hall is actually a book and we cannot wait to see how it adapts to the big screen. For those of you unfamiliar with the book, the Down a Dark Hall movie has been described as, "Kit Gordy, a new student at the exclusive Blackwood Boarding School, confronts the institution's supernatural occurrences and dark powers of its headmistress."
While we are most excited about getting to see AnnaSophia Robb starring in the lead role for Down a Dark Hall, the rest of the cast is equally impressive, with such top stars as Uma Thurman, Isabelle Fuhrman, and Rosie Day, among others. Down a Dark Hall has been directed by Rodrigo Cortes, based on the script that Michael Goldbach and Chris Sparling adapted from the Lois Duncan novel, with the movie hopefully getting a release date in the near future.
