When it was announced that we are going to get to see Channing Tatum taking on the role of Gambit in the planned Gambit solo movie, there were plenty of excited fans all over the world. Unfortunately though, the project has hit a number of different road blocks, with the biggest talking point being the fact that the project has already seen three different directs coming on board and then leaving.

Firstly, Rupert Wyatt looked set to helm the Gambit movie, before then deciding to move on to something else. That was then followed by Doug Liman, who seemed very excited about directing the Gambit film, before also deciding not to stick with the project. Then we heard that Gore Verbinski had agreed to direct Gambit, but once again left the project before we got any closer to it actually shooting.
Well now, producer Simon Kinberg has been talking about the prospect of us actually finally getting to see the Gambit movie being made and he has given the fans a lot of hope. Simon claims that they have a script in place and ready to go, while insisting that they are hoping to start shooting Gambit this Summer.

Kinberg explained, "We have a script that we love — that Channing loves. We’ve met with a bunch of directors in the last couple of weeks, and we’re hoping to actually pick one in the next couple of weeks and shoot the movie maybe the end of this summer."
While there are some fans who are excited about the prospect of getting to finally see this Gambit movie being made, there are plenty who feel like we have heard it all before and that it is just all talk, with the Gambit film not likely to start shooting any time soon.
Do you think we will ever see Channing Tatum starring in a Gambit movie?
