The X-Men movies have been hugely popular and very successful over the years, with the original X-Men trilogy bringing in plenty of money at the box office, while the new movies, with the younger cast members has been just as successful in its own right. Australian actor Hugh Jackman plays Wolverine in the X-Men movies and has appeared in every single one of them that has been made.

Hugh Jackman in the first X-Men movie
With the new X-Men movies taking place in the earlier decades, it has certainly been more difficult to keep Hugh Jackman in the X-Men films, as he now looks a lot older than he did when he first played the character. However, they managed to find a way to have Hugh Jackman in X-Men: Days of Future Past with the clever plot of the film but will we have to miss out on having Wolverine in X-Men: Apocalypse?
Without having a time travel plot in X-Men: Apocalypse, which is set in the 1980s, it is going to be difficult to have Hugh Jackman in the film as Wolverine, as he would look older in the 80s than he does in the original X-Men trilogy which is set in the 2000s. With that said, Hugh has been talking about the X-Men universe, insisting that they have some interesting and exciting plans lined up.

Jackman said, "I have been speaking to the guys, and I’m not at liberty to tell exactly what’s going on, which is largely framing my answer here. But there’s still a lot unknown about that, actually. There are some very exciting things about integrating the whole X-Men world, including the Wolverine movie. There’s some really cool things going on."
We look forward to seeing how they do put Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in X-Men: Apocalypse, which will open on May 19, 2016 in the UK and May 27, 2016 in the US. How do you think they will do it?
